The 1-3-2 configuration, with soft support at the shoulders, firm support at the waist, and medium support at the legs, is well-suited for individuals with a normal or general body shape who experience back pain.

The firm support at the waist provides targeted support to the upper body, specifically addressing the lower back and waist and promoting proper alignment by distributing weight evenly to reduce pressure on the spine and surrounding muscles.

The 2-3-2 configuration, with medium support at the shoulder and legs, and firm support at the waist, is well-suited for individuals who have a larger or more generously proportioned body shape.

The firm, targeted support at the waist is beneficial for individuals who require additional support for proper spine alignment and even weight distribution.

The 1-2-1 configuration, with soft support at the shoulder and legs and medium support at the waist, is well-suited for individuals with a narrower or slimmer body shape.

With medium support at the waist, the configuration ensures proper alignment and support for the middle section of the body. This level of support promotes a neutral spine position, helping to maintain healthy body alignment during sleep.

The 2-2-2 configuration, with medium support at the shoulders, waist, and legs, is well-suited for individuals with average proportions or relatively symmetrical body shapes.

It offers a supportive surface with a moderate level of softness, providing a well-rounded balance of cushioning and support.

The 1-2-2 configuration, with soft support at the shoulders and medium support at the waist and legs, is well-suited for individuals with wider shoulders or with broader upper body proportions.

It can also be suitable for those who prefer a softer feel at the head or desire targeted softness in the upper body area while still maintaining support in other areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Mattresses, Kiwami 3.0, Takumi 2.0, and Nagomi 1.0?

The Yume (Dream Collection), our latest mattresses all utilize the signature Airfiber technology but differ in features and price:

  • Kiwami 3.0 (Most Customizable & Supportive): This top-of-the-line option boasts the most customization. It features a multi-layered, 6-block Airfiber® configuration on each side. These blocks can be adjusted to achieve your desired firmness level, making it ideal for those with specific support needs.
  • Takumi 2.0 (Adjustable Firmness): This model offers adjustable firmness through its innovative DUALMODE Airfiber® blocks. These blocks have two firmness options that can be flipped depending on your preference. It provides a good balance between customization and convenience.
  • Nagomi 1.0 (Extra Firm Support, No Customization): This is our standard model and offers a single layer of Airfiber® blocks for a firm and supportive feel. It's a good choice for those who prefer a consistent firmness and don't require extensive customization.

  • Takumi 2.0 falls in the middle price range with its adjustable firmness feature.

What's the difference between Airfiber and memory foam?

Material:

Airfiber is our proprietary material made of interwoven high-density polyethylene fibers. It's essentially strong and breathable while memory foam is a type of viscoelastic polyurethane foam that conforms to your body shape when pressure is applied.

Feel:

Airfiber offers a firm feel with high breathability due to the spaces between the fibers while memory foam offers a pressure-relieving, contouring feel that can sometimes feel hot due to its ability to trap heat.

Support:

Airfiber is designed for proper spinal alignment and pressure relief, particularly for back, stomach, and combination sleepers. Memory foam can offer good pressure relief but may not provide optimal support for everyone, especially side sleepers.

Temperature Regulation:

Airfiber is generally considered cooler due to its breathability. Memory foam can trap heat, making it less ideal for hot sleepers.

Movement:

Airfiber allows for easier movement and undisturbed sleep due to its high rebound nature. Memory foam can have a sink-in feeling that might make it harder to move around.

Washability:

Airweave mattresses completely washable, while memory foam mattresses are not.

What are the firmness options offered in the Yume (Dream Collection) mattress models?

The firmness options offered in the Yume (Dream Collection) mattress models (Kiwami 3.0, Takumi 2.0, and Nagomi 1.0) vary depending on the specific model:

  • Kiwami 3.0 (Most Customizable & Supportive): This model offers the greatest degree of firmness customization. It features a multi-layered, 6-block Airfiber® configuration on each side. These blocks can be individually adjusted to achieve your desired firmness level, ranging from soft to firm.
  • Takumi 2.0 (Adjustable Firmness): This model provides a good balance between customization and convenience. It uses DUALMODE Airfiber® blocks, each with two firmness options. You can simply flip the blocks to choose between a medium firm, firm, or extra firm feel on each side of the mattress.
  • Nagomi 1.0 (Basic Support): This model offers the least customization in terms of firmness. It has a single layer of Airfiber® blocks, resulting in a consistent firm and supportive feel.
