I am writing this from a hotel bed that is springy and soft. I have back problems and usually sleep on a firm tempur-adapt mattress at home. Before my airweave mattress topper, I used to dread travel, compressing it into as few days as possible. More often than not I would ask for extra blankets to make a nest on the floor because the luxury hotel bed was too soft and uncomfortable for me to fall asleep. The floor hurt my hips and knees and shoulders but I could at least get a few hours of sleep.
I’ve taken my airweave mattress topper on 4 trips now, and my life has been changed. This is the best item I have purchased in the last decade in terms of the effect it has had on my life. Getting 8 hours of great sleep and waking up rested is priceless. Even when the hotel mattress is ultra squishy and I’m sinking deep into it, I put the airweave on top and all of a sudden I’m lying on a firm, supportive bed. It defies logic that something so thin that rolls up could be so firm when placed on a soft squishy base, but it is. The airweave mattress topper is nothing short of magic and worth every single penny (and then some). I am never leaving home without it.
Thank you Airweave!! You’ve made me a happy and willing traveler.
I chose airweave because it is made in Japan and I like the Japanese quality. I also like how it comes in blocks so I can move it by myself. The extra topping is nice as I can wash the topping frequently to keep things clean. Highly recommended if you like a firm mattress.
This bed has transformed the way I sleep, and I no longer struggle with having pinched nerves in my lower back.
I purchased this mattress about 4 years ago and at first, it was incredibly supportive and firm. I enjoyed a good year of sleep on it.
Years 2-4 were a completely different story and by the end, my partner and I were sleeping diagonally to try and find some relief.
Despite having them on slats the entire time I owned this mattress, the sections began to depress and sag. The mattress came in three pieces, which was very convenient for moving, but also needed adjustment once a month. The moment they got out of alignment, they formed crevices that got worse and worse until you shoved the blocks back tightly together. Finally, the bed lacked edge support, and depresses easily on the edges, which is exacerbated by the fact this bed again, comes in three parts and has MORE than 4 edges as a result, where given enough use, can lose their structure. Having rearranged this bed so often, I found my floor and my hands covered in some kind of fine dust after moving them back together, and pieces of the inner material gets everywhere.
Bought this for my sciatica. When I “sink” into a soft cushion, seat, etc, this sufficiently alters the curve of my lower back (makes me slouch), that this ultimately results in my sciatica flaring up. (If you have it…very inconvenient). This thin “cushion” allows some softening (eg of a hard surface), but the internal “mesh” is Very supportive. (Gonna take this on long Plane rides!). Airplane seats are the Worst! Always “bottom out”, then basically sitting on a hard board. (…. And I am not particularly big)
Have only been sleeping on it for 3 weeks since I’ve got it but I appreciate the support it offers much more than my old name-brand mattress.
I had planned to purchase other airweave but if I get one more annoying email asking for a review. I won’t.
This is not the first time I’ve made this request. And no I do not support Amazon.
Switched from Tempur-pedic to Airweave and my back has been thanking me ever since
After experiencing comfortable sleep with airwaves shik-buton for several years, my husband and I tried to upgrade our mattresses. We did a right decision. Our sleep has improved much more, and it's so nice to have fresh and healthy start in the morning. For setting up advanced mattress, it would be nice if there were step-by-step video instructions since English instructions are not as easy to understand as instructions written in Japanese. We would highly recommend super comfortable Advance mattress to everyone.
I didn’t buy this to give you personal information.
I didn’t buy to get these obnoxious surveys.
I certainly didn’t buy to support Amazon.
I have planned to purchase further items but won’t if you continue to send offensive emails
This is my second Airweave mattress and it does not disappoint. It is not for everyone but it works like a charm for me and my wife. Best investment ever.
I purchased a standard Airweave full size mattress. I’ve tried a few brands of mattresses for my lower back pain and this mattress brings me the best results so far. It was a great experience with the whole purchasing and delivery process!
I happened to purchase Airweave 6 years ago on a chance. Stumbled upon a google ad and purchased it. And it was one of the best decisions of my life. I have a bad back and was tired of memory foam and all other variations.
I loved Airweave so much that if I had the $$$ I would replace every bed in our home with Airweave. 6 years later we bought our second Airweave mattress. Yes, the price was 3X the money we paid first time. But it is 100% worth it.
I doubt me or my wife or my daughters will every purchase any other mattress unless we are just being super thrifty than Airweave.
Its not for everyone but it is 100% for us.
I went through three mattresses in five years due to a back injury and wasted so much money in the process. I only wish I had discovered Airweave sooner. If you’re looking for a truly firm mattress, this is the best on the market. The material is incredibly unique, and it genuinely delivers on its cooling promises. This mattress has made a HUGE difference for my back, it’s been life-changing!
I had a back and elbow joint pain.
The pain is gone after using Japanese futon as a mattress topper. I am very satisfied with it.
I
I love airweave mattress! I bought it because I have a backpain and now I am very satisfied !
Very firm and easy to sleep on, I wake up with feeling more energized now. The futon is so lightweight that changing sheets on a loft bed is a breeze. I only wish I had bought it sooner.
I thought there was a good chance I’d be returning this. It’s a fairly thin pad, and I was convinced my three herniated discs in my lower back would not survive the night on the soft hotel mattress. Not only did I survive, I felt great. I’ve since used this on ten hotel journeys. And just recently started using it on my home bed. It’s light, super easy to travel with. I love this thing. I’m still amazed how well it works.
LOVEEEEE this!! I was skeptical at first but after using this for a year now, I can say that I've never had better sleep. The firmness provides SO much support for my back!
Sleep on my back or roll over on my side; it’s great. The sides of the pillow are better for side sleeping. The middle is great for back sleeping.
The main reason I love this pillow is that it doesn’t block my ear. The weave lets air and sound travel. I have severe tinnitus, and I need sound to mask the noise. You can even put a small speaker under this pillow and hear it as if nothing was there. It’s perfect for me.
Actually it's a little thin as a seat cushion on a wooden chair. But, I use it as a pillow, it's the perfect height for sleeping on my back, and cooler than a regular pillow.
I'm recovering from lower back surgery for a herniated disc. I wasted $8K on a Kluft mattress that sagged 2" in <2 years which aggravated my back and delayed my recovery. The Takumi felt too firm on day one, but after a few days it felt normal and more importantly my morning back pain improved greatly. It seemed so counterintuitive, a firmer bed helps back pain? Unbelievably the Takumi works for me.
