Airweave Japanese Futon

got the futon because i needed a new bed and wanted to try something different; and also because it looked cool. no lie. this mattress has given me the best sleep i have ever gotten in my life. didn’t think that something so thin would be better than a thick mattress, so glad i gave it a shot. look forward to crashing on it everyday. airweave has changed my life.

Never had a better sleep then this, strange because you wouldn't expect a 2" bed to provide so much support.

I went from beds too hot to outdoors on the ground which I love, but now with excessive summer humidity I come back indoors with no solution until now. Tatami mat with airweave on top stays nice and cool. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Very firm and easy to sleep on, I wake up with feeling more energized now. The futon is so lightweight that changing sheets on a loft bed is a breeze. I only wish I had bought it sooner.

This is quite possibly, the best mattress/ futon I have ever slept on in my entire life. I have been in many environments with varying levels of comfort, but nothing I have ever slept on compares to this. I don't even have a tatami mat, that b**** is just on the hardwood floor. Oh my goodness I can stay in it for hours, I can study on eat. I refuse to eat on it because I don't want to soil it. It's firm but also soft at the same time and I am like wow. It's also lightweight and super portable. I am so thankful I made this purchase.

We absolutely love our Airweave futon for our baby's Montessori-style floor bed and for co-sleeping. Our little one sleeps so much better on it, and we feel confident knowing it's closer to the floor, so if he rolls off, there’s no need to worry. The mattress is firm, yet incredibly comfortable—I wake up without aches, which has been a game changer.

We added The Company Store featherbed waterproof cover (perfect fit) under the Airweave sheet, making it less breathable but better suited for our baby. The Airweave cover is also incredibly soft and cozy, and my baby absolutely loves it!

My husband who is 6'2" and 200 pounds also finds it incredibly comfortable.

Lastly, a big shout out to George for helping us with all our questions! We've tried countless firm mattresses for co-sleeping and crib options, but after splurging on this, it’s by far the best choice we made.

In two days, I felt something good was going. In several days, I found that I was sleeping well. At the end of the first week, I felt my back ache was pretty much gone. After 10 days, I realized that I cannot live without the Airweave Futon mattress. What a wonderful mattress!

This futon is amazing, much easier to maintain compared to Japanese traditional Futon made of cotton. Everyone in my family uses airweave Japanese Futon, iand we all love it.

Works well given the soft mattress in the unit and bad back

After trying multiple mattress in a box companies, adding a topper, and then switching to a hotel favorite mattress and STILL waking up with back/neck pain every day, my partner and I were at a loss. We happened to read a book that mentioned the Japanese Futon mattress and got intrigued. After researching and finding the Airweave, we decided to go for it. Especially with the trial, what harm could it do? We counted down the days to its arrival. We have been sleeping on it every night since. We did add our topper to it and honestly, the combo is gold. It probably took 3-5 days to transition fully, each night a little better than the last. We do not wake up with back or neck pain anymore! I'm a side sleeper and my partner is a back/side sleeper. We are sold! We still have a month left to our trial but as of right now, I can't see any reason we would ever send this back!

This is the greatest floor bed / futon / Japanese sleeping mat ever. I love this thing - it gets me excited for sleep every night. And it folds away so well, opens up the space. I have the California King. And it feels amazing.

Recently I purchased the futon and using on our bed frame. I personally enjoy sleeping on stiff mattress like futon on tatami feel. So I was skeptical at first by it ended up working well.

This is going on the 3rd year with the Futon and I am thrilled. This is the perfect option for me and highly recommend. I am an older person and find a firm futon is great for my back and a good nights rest.

I bought the king futon so that my two daughters (9 years old and 5 years old) as well as myself can sleep on the floor of the master bedroom because they refuse to sleep in their own rooms. I actually use a waterproof mattress cover and a 100% cotton fitted sheet over the futon for practicality, and I did not see any issues with being too hot, etc. In Taiwan, we are used to very firm mattress, and have struggled here in the US to try something that is comparable. This airwave futon is the only thing in the US that comes close. My only issue with the futon is that the warranty for it is shorter than the other mattress products from airweave. If they can show the same trust in this mattress as their other products by extending the warranty, it would be great!

I'm a huge airweave fan because if their firm yet lightweight materials. It took me a while to pull the trigger on the price tag but it's absolutely worth it and I would repurchase no questions asked. I will say this is definitely for people who like firm beds and may not work as well for side sleepers

I thought the futon was a bit too thin to put it directly on top of the floor. It may need some cushion in between, but overall very comfortable.

I purchased this for my fiance, who prefers extra firm sleep surfaces and frequently suffers from back pain. He’s had it for several weeks now and hasn’t had back pain since he’s switched mattresses. I prefer extremely soft mattresses but found Airweave to be curiously supportive while being extremely firm - while I’m a side sleeper, it felt more comfortable to sleep on my back, and it felt like I slept very “clean” - waking up feeling very neutral, with no uncomfortable temperature or pain anywhere but not much of a cosy warm feel.

It took a few days to get used to it. I felt that it would be more comfortable with a bit more cushion. I am now using it on another thin futon and it works well for me.

I had an Airweave mattress and absolutely loved it but my living situation changed so I switched it up for the futon and lord, yes, this is just as amazing as the mattress. I love the firmness, coolness and ability to wash absolutely all parts of it. This is one pricier purchase that I do not regret!

I have never been as comfortable as I am with this bed. The support is really perfect. I was a bit worried because I have had hip pain when side sleeping on traditional cotton futons in the past, but this has not been a problem with the airweave at all. I waited a long time to purchase this because of the cost, but was finally convinced because of the ability to return after a trial. No need! It is perfect.
